Welcome to bittu ("we," "our," "us," or "the app"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the bittu mobile application, website, and related visual search technologies (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using bittu, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download, install, or use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

bittu is an AI-powered visual search utility designed to help users identify products from on-screen images or cropped screenshots and discover matching or similar products available on third-party e-commerce platforms (such as Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, and others).

bittu operates on an ephemeral, privacy-first model: we do not require account registration, and visual captures are processed in real time solely to fulfill search requests without persistent user data retention.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

By using bittu, you agree that you:

  • Are at least 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
  • Will use the Service solely for personal, lawful, and non-commercial visual product search purposes.
  • Will not use bittu to capture, transmit, or process sensitive, confidential, illegal, defamatory, or infringing content.
  • Will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, crawl, automate, disrupt, or compromise the infrastructure, APIs, or security controls of bittu.

3. Screen Capture and User-Initiated Inputs

bittu only captures images or screen areas when explicitly triggered by you (for example, via the Quick Settings tile or in-app crop selector).

  • You retain all rights to any images you capture and process through the app.
  • You grant bittu a temporary, limited, non-exclusive license solely to process and analyze the selected image in real time to generate product search results.
  • bittu does not claim ownership of user captures and does not store, archive, or resell your images.

4. Third-Party Links, Retailers, and Affiliate Disclosure

A. Independent Third-Party Retailers

bittu is a search and discovery tool, not an online seller, retailer, or marketplace. All product prices, stock availability, descriptions, images, warranties, shipping, and fulfillment are managed exclusively by independent third-party merchants.

We do not endorse, guarantee, warrant, or assume liability for any products, services, delivery timelines, refund policies, or merchant practices on third-party websites. Any transaction you enter into is strictly between you and the respective third-party retailer.

B. Affiliate Commission Disclosure

bittu participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click on product search links generated by bittu and complete a qualifying purchase on a merchant's platform, bittu may receive a referral commission at no additional cost to you.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The bittu name, logo, software code, user interface, brand assets, slogans (including "just bittu it!"), visual designs, and underlying proprietary algorithms are the intellectual property of bittu and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

All third-party trademarks, product brand names, e-commerce logos, and trade names displayed in search results belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in search results is for identification, comparative discovery, and descriptive purposes only and does not imply sponsorship or affiliation.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF AI SEARCH MATCHES.

While bittu aims for high search accuracy, visual recognition results may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. bittu makes no guarantees regarding price parity, item stock availability, or visual match precision.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL bittu, ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY TRANSACTIONS CONDUCTED ON THIRD-PARTY RETAILER WEBSITES.

8. Termination and Modification of Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue bittu (or any feature thereof) at any time without prior notice. We may also restrict or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive API usage.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of bittu after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
